The Magnetic Jacket was created and released under the MARQ QUIES brand, exploring the idea of attraction through material, movement, and form.

Inspired by the natural force of a magnet attracting metal, I translated that invisible pull into a physical garment using safety pins. Rather than placing the pins in a rigid or repetitive pattern, they are arranged organically across the jacket, creating the feeling that each piece has been naturally drawn toward the next.

The safety pins become more than a functional object—they represent movement, attraction, and connection. Their placement gives the jacket an almost magnetic energy, as if the garment itself is pulling surrounding elements toward it.

Through this piece, I wanted to challenge how familiar materials can be transformed into something unexpected. The jacket combines structure with spontaneity, creating a garment that feels both intentional and naturally formed.

The Magnetic Jacket reflects the MARQ QUIES approach to design: taking an everyday idea and turning it into something wearable, sculptural, and visually expressive.
